I think last time I drew Luna with her actual crown and collar from show would be series of Luna's Corruption images which I began in late 2012.
Something new I tried here was implementing subtle fur texture throughout Luna. I think it adds to her model but I'm not sure if I would do it regularly due to adding to the tedium of making these images... though still significantly less tedious than hair.
